One killed in Kansas City traffic crash
One person was killed in a Thursday night traffic crash in central Kansas City.
Several small children were also injured and taken to hospitals.
The wreck occurred a little after 6 p.m. Thursday at 35th Street and Bellefontaine Avenue.
According to Kansas City police, a car speeding northbound on Bellefontaine ran a stop sign and hit a westbound car. The male driver of the westbound car was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the northbound vehicle and two children in the back seat of his car were also taken to hospitals, but their injuries appeared to be minor, according to police.
