Wreck closes part of KC downtown loop

A rollover wreck shut down both sides of Interstate 670 in the downtown loop during the Tuesday afternoon rush hour.

At least two westbound vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. below the Main Street overpass.

Eastbound traffic resumed shortly after emergency vehicles arrived, but westbound lanes remained shut down for more than half an hour. All lanes were opened up by 6:45 p.m.

Police said there were no serious injuries.
