Man killed in weekend Kansas City traffic wreck

One person was killed Saturday night in an east Kansas City traffic crash.

Kansas City police said the wreck occurred about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at 23rd Street and Indiana Avenue. Police said the driver of a passenger car was westbound on 23rd Street when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole’s concrete base.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
