NB I-435 reopens in Kansas City after water main break created major delays

Northbound Interstate 435 on Kansas City’s east side reopened Wednesday morning after a water main break interrupted traffic and caused major delays in the morning commute.

The highway was opened again shortly before 8 a.m.

The closure caused traffic to be slow moving along I-435 north of Interstate 70.

During the closure, traffic was diverted off the heavily traveled highway at Truman Road.
