Greater Kansas City chamber names its early childhood education co-champions
The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce named its three co-champions in leading a regional quest to help get all children ready for kindergarten.
Former Kansas City mayor Kay Barnes, former Kansas City, Kan., mayor Carol Marinovich and Tracy Foster, vice president of the Hall Family Foundation, will try to corral and inspire civic resources in support of the many efforts underway to boost early childhood education.
This is the newest addition to the chamber’s Big 5 ideas toward greater prosperity. The first step, Barnes said after the announcement Wednesday, will involve “a lot of listening.”
