Rain likely in KC area Tuesday, but what will the weather be like on Halloween?

Meteorologists in the Kansas City metropolitan area are predicting an “all treats, no tricks” weather forecast for Halloween this year.

While some areas may see rain Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service office in Pleasant Hill says weather conditions shouldn’t put a damper on trick-or-treating by Halloween night.

Wednesday night is expected to be dry and cloudy for most of the Kansas City area, according to the weather service forecast. Temperatures are estimated to be in the upper 50s during the day, then drop to the upper 40s after the sun goes down — a warmer evening compared to last year when temperatures lingered around freezing, the weather service said.

The forecast says there’s a 20 percent chance of rain Wednesday afternoon.
