Kansas man dies in crossover crash near Harrisonville
A 66-year-old man from Effingham, Kan., died in a crash just before 2 p.m. Sunday in rural Harrisonville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Clarence McNeely was southbound on Missouri 7 near Freedom Road when he traveled off the left side of the roadway, crossed the grassy median and struck a vehicle driven by Nathan Billings, 28, of Lawrence.
McNeely, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
Billings and two passengers in his vehicle, a 29-year-old woman and a baby, were taken to a hospital with injuries.
