Woman last seen at 26th Street and Spruce has been located, KC police say

Update: Mlebinge Edward has been located, Kansas City police announced Wednesday afternoon.

Kansas City police on Wednesday asked for the public’s help in locating a 29-year-old woman who has intellectually disabilities and is thought to be in danger.

Mlebinge Edward was last seen about 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of Spruce Avenue, according to police.

Police described her as being 5 feet, 5 inches tall, about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

She may hide from people and does not speak, police said. She does not understand English, but understands Swahili. She has a seizure disorder.

Police think she may be wearing a yellow T-shirt and dark pants with white splotches on them that look like paint.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call the Police Department’s missing persons unit at 816-234-5136.
