Authorities in Cass County said a driver was killed Tuesday when his semi-truck overturned on Interstate 49 near Archie, the local sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Deputies went to the area around 4:30 p.m. to investigate the crash, which happened in the northbound lanes of the interstate, north of Archie at 341st Street, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the truck, 63-year-old Andrew M. Yoder of Fairland, Okla., was killed in the wreck. He was the only occupant of the truck.

Deputies found the truck in an overgrown, wooded area between the interstate and Southeast Outer Road.

It was unclear what time the wreck occurred.

The crash remains under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team and the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office.
