High speed crash in KCK leaves motorcyclist with critical injures
A motorcyclist was critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a collision with a car in Kansas City, Kan.
Kansas City, Kan., police said the crash happened at 2:10 p.m. near 80th Street and State Avenue.
According to a police statement, the motorcycle was traveling east on State Avenue at a high rate of speed when it struck a sedan. The sedan had been turning south into a parking lot when the crash occurred.
Police said the driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike and he was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the sedan was not reported injured.
The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit and Critical Collision Response Team is investigating the crash.
