Child dies after being hit by vehicle backing out of driveway at Olathe home
An 18-month-old child has died after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Olathe.
Olathe police said the incident occurred shortly after noon in the area of West 159th Terrace and South Stagecoach Drive.
The child was hit by a vehicle that a family member was backing out of a driveway, police said.
The child was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Olathe police are investigating.
