All lanes reopen on I-35 after tractor-trailer accident near Liberty

All lanes of traffic on Interstate 35 near Liberty in Clay County have been reopened after a tractor-trailer crash Friday afternoon.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said there were no injuries in the accident. Traffic in both directions were initially shut down. 

Northbound lanes were re-opened to traffic first. Around 1:45 p.m., the patrol said the southbound lanes would remain closed at U.S. 69 for about 45 more minutes.

About 2:40 p.m., a tweet from the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Twitter account said lanes in both directions were open.
