American Airlines flight returns to KCI after mechanical problem, lands safely
An American Airlines flight headed from Kansas City to Chicago Thursday morning experienced mechanical problems shortly after takeoff and returned to Kansas City International Airport for an emergency landing.
American Airlines Flight No. 363 departed from the gate at about 5:50 a.m. The Boeing 737, which had 69 people aboard, reported having mechanical issues and returned to KCI.
Emergency crews responded to KCI. The plane landed safely about 6:40 a.m.
