Cool weather will delay the opening of KC pools this weekend

Kansas City pools will not open this weekend because of cool temperatures, the city has announced.

These pools will open when water temperatures reach 70: The Springs Aquatic Center, 9400 N Congress; The Bay Water Park, 7101 Longview Rd.; Swope Pool, 6700 Lewis Rd.; Budd Park Pool, Budd Park Esplanade and Denver Avenue; Grove Park Pool, Benton Boulevad and Truman Road; Brush Creek Community Center, Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue; and Line Creek Community Center, 5940 NE Waukomis.

Spraygrounds — except for Longview Tract at The Bay Water Park — will open on Saturday as planned.
