Because of cool weather, Kansas City’s major pools and water parks will not open this weekend as planned, the Parks and Recreation Department announced on Thursday morning.

The following facilities will open when the water temperature reaches 70 degrees:

The Springs Aquatic Center, 9400 N. Congress Ave.

The Bay Water Park, 7101 Longview Road

Swope Pool, 6700 Lewis Road

Budd Park Pool, Budd Park Esplanade and Denver Avenue

Grove Park Pool, Benton Boulevard and Truman Road

Brush Creek Community Center, Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue

Line Creek Community Center, 5940 N.E. Waukomis Drive

KC Parks Spraygrounds, with the exception of Longview Tract at The Bay Water Park, will open on Saturday as planned.
