Teenager seriously injured when hit by car in Kansas City

A teen-aged boy was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car Wednesday morning.

The boy’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

He was struck as he crossed the street at East 79th Street and Troost Avenue about 6:10 a.m.

The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with police.
