Nineteen arrested for DUI, four for narcotics violations at KC checkpoint

Police arrested 19 drivers for DUI at a Kansas City sobriety checkpoint late Saturday and early Sunday morning.

Kansas City police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped 838 vehicles at 39th Terrace and Southwest Trafficway.

Other arrests included four for narcotics violations, two for driving with suspended or revoked licenses, two for hindering officers and two for outstanding warrants. One fugitive was arrested, police said.
