Man dies of gunshot wounds in Kansas City, Kan.
Police are investigating the shooting death of man found behind the wheel of a car that crashed into an SUV and pickup outside a Kansas City, Kan., house.
Police responded to reports of shots being fired about 1:40 a.m. Thursday in the 3400 block of North 59th Terrace. Arriving officers found a man in his early 30s inside the car who had been wounded by gunshots.
He later died from his injuries at a hospital, Kansas City, Kan., Police Chief Terry Zeigler said via Twitter.
Neighbors told police they heard gunshots and then a crash, according to media reports. The victim’s vehicle had crashed into an SUV and truck parked on a driveway.
Police were withholding the victim’s identity until relatives could be notified.
