Five tornadoes struck northwest Missouri on Tuesday night
Five tornadoes struck northwest Missouri during Tuesday night’s storms, according to the National Weather Service.
Each one was classified as an EF-0, which is the weakest kind of tornado, with winds between 65 and 85 mph.
The strongest one was 85 mph and traveled 3 miles in Holt and Nodaway counties, near Maitland, Mo. The others were in Atchison, Holt and DeKalb counties.
There were also many reports of straight line wind damage, power outages, downed trees and minor structural damage.
