Kansas City road works: beware ramp work in Johnson County
The ramp from 67th Street to northbound Interstate 35 will reopen Wednesday morning after being closed since Aug. 18 for emergency repairs to a gas line that runs underneath the pavement. There will still be some restrictions on the ramp as work on the shoulders is completed.
The ramp from southbound I-35 to 75th Street and the ramp from 75th Street to northbound I-35 remain completely closed for pavement repair. That project will last through late October.
In addition, all ramps at Interstate 435 and Roe Avenue will be closed beginning 5 a.m. Monday and through Oct. 20. The closures are required to allow work on the new Roe bridge over the highway. Northbound Roe will be closed to through traffic at 109th Street and southbound will be closed to through traffic at 107th Street.
