Olathe high school student claims relationship with instructor

Authorities are investigating an Olathe high school student’s claim that he had an inappropriate relationship with a teacher.

The student made the allegation Tuesday, said Sgt. Bryan Hill of the Olathe police.

“Right now, it’s just an allegation,” Hill said. “No one is in custody.”

The Olathe School District is assisting in the investigation, said Ann Kohn, Olathe School District spokeswoman.

“We were made aware of the situation, took immediate action and we continue to work closely with the Olathe Police Department,” Kohn said.
