Kansas City Zoo ride strands riders

A skylift ride at the Kansas City Zoo temporarily stranded riders about 2 p.m. Saturday, according to various news reports.

No serious injuries were reported. Riders were able to get off the aerial tram ride by 2:30 pm.

No immediate cause was available for the ride’s failure.

The ski lift-like tram has operated since 2011, providing an alternate way to get to the zoo’s African section.
