Man’s body found inside burning house in Kansas City, Kan.

Police and fire investigators were investigating the discovery of a man’s body inside a burning house late Sunday in Kansas City, Kan.

Firefighters responded to the house fire shortly before midnight Sunday in the 1500 block of Rowland Avenue.

Crews arriving on the scene reported flames coming from the front of the home.

While fighting the blaze, firefighters found the man’s body.

Police are assisting in the investigation, Kansas City, Kan., Police Chief Terry Zeigler said on Twitter.

The circumstances leading up to the person’s death was unknown, Zeigler said.

One firefighter suffered minor burns.
