Kansas City school district cancels classes, before and after school activities
The Kansas City school district said via Twitter that all of its schools would be closed Monday because of icy roads and the inclement weather.
The district also canceled all before and after school activities.
Employees who work a 12-month schedule will be on a 2-hour delay.
The Raytown school district announced that many bus routes might be running behind schedule Monday due to the weather.
“Thank your for your patience as our Transportation Department works to get students safely to school this morning,” the district said on Twitter.
