Author to speak about Armenian genocide

The author of a book about the Armenian genocide that began a century ago in 1915 will discuss the event in a free program at 6 p.m. Monday at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial.

Ronald Grigor Suny, professor emeritus at the University of Chicago, wrote “They Can Live in the Desert, But Nowhere Else: A History of the Armenian Genocide.” The genocide by the Ottoman Turks was carried out during World War I from 1915 to 1918.
