Centennial Bridge to Leavenworth will be closed Wednesday
Allow extra time if you’re traveling to or from Leavenworth on Wednesday. The Centennial Bridge over the Missouri River will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for inspection work.
The bridge is the only road access across the river in Leavenworth. Motorists will have to use the Amelia Earhart Memorial Bridge in Atchison or the Interstate 435 bridge between Wyandotte and Platte counties.
The Centennial Bridge will reopen Thursday but will be restricted to one lane in each direction, the Kansas Department of Transportation said.
