The Holiday Express is about to roll into Union Station. Here are the visiting hours
Santa Claus rolls into Union Station on Friday aboard the Holiday Express.
The Kansas City Southern train, headed by “Rudy” the smiling tank car, will be available for free tours and visits with Santa through Tuesday.
As always, Kansas City’s Union Station is the final stop of the season. This year the Holiday Express visited six states and 22 communities, including towns in Texas hit by hurricane Harvey.
In addition to Rudy, the Holiday Express includes a gingerbread boxcar, an elves’ workshop, a reindeer stable and a red caboose. All are decorated with Christmas lights.
Since 2001, the Kansas City Southern Charitable fund and KCS employees have raised more than $1 million to purchase gift cards to buy warm clothing and other necessities for children and families.
Hours are:
▪ Friday 2 to 5 p.m.
▪ Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
▪ Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
▪ Monday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
▪ Tuesday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
