Arbor Day observance this Saturday at Loose Park

Five hundred seedlings of swamp white oak trees will be given away at an Arbor Day observance from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Loose Park, 55th and Summit streets.

There will also be activities and education about tree care. The Missouri Department of Conservation is partnering with the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department and the Arbor Day Foundation for the event. National Arbor Day is April 24.
