Investigation continues into Olathe fire

An investigation continued Wednesday into the cause of the Monday night fire that gutted an Olathe building housing a Mexican restaurant and several other businesses.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 135th Street and Black Bob Road at about 8:30 p.m. Monday. The flames destroyed Fronteras Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, leaving little but the building’s shell standing.

Investigators have been combing through building remnants looking for clues, Olathe Fire Department Capt. Mike Hall said Wednesday.
