Videos: Volunteers help kids by selling papers on Kansas City Day
About 1,200 volunteers sold a special KC Day souvenir edition of The Kansas City Star on street corners throughout the city Monday, the Royals’ opening day.
All proceeds benefit the Rotary Youth Camp and other Kansas City area charities for children. The Rotary camp at Lake Jacomo allows kids with physical, mental and emotional disabilities to attend camp for free.
