Police investigate fatal shooting in Kansas City, Kan.

Police were investigating a homicide late Saturday where a person was shot dead in northeast Kansas City, Kan.

Police responded to reports of a shooting about 10:35 p.m. in the 1700 block of Short Street, which is south of Parallel avenue.

Chief Terry Zeigler said in a tweet that the victim was male.
