Olathe police said they found the owners of a potbellied pig found in a parking lot near Santa Fe Street and Mur-Len Road.

In a tweet late Thursday, police said they have found the owners.

“A couple said they found the pig wandering the parking lot at Hobby Lobby and Goodwill,” said Sgt. Bryan Hill of the Olathe Police Department. “They picked it up, put it in the back seat and drove it over to the animal shelter.”

Because of its friendly nature, employees of the animal shelter thought it was housebroken and was kept as a pet, police said.
