One person was killed and several others were hurt in a fatal wreck Thursday afternoon in Kansas City.
The wreck was reported about 4 p.m on Noland Road just north of Frost Road.
According to police, a white van traveling southbound on Noland Road crossed the center line and struck a silver SUV traveling northbound. The van then struck a white passenger car, which had been following the SUV.

The impact forced the SUV off the right side of the road, where it overturned in a ditch, police said. The driver of the SUV died a short time later at the hospital.
Police said the driver of the van and two passengers were also taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The driver of the white passenger car was not injured, police said.
