KC police seek man with dementia reported missing Tuesday
An 87-year-old man with dementia who was reported missing Tuesday was last seen walking in the area of 23rd and Holmes streets, according to Kansas City police.
Police asked for the public’s help in finding Wesley I. Mattonen, who was last seen shortly after 9 a.m.
Mattonen was described as being white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 135 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes.
He was wearing a brown or beige shirt, khaki pants, black shoes and a black U.S. Air Force hat.
Anyone who sees Mattonen is asked to call the Police Department’s Missing Persons unit at 816-234-5136.
