Authorities find body of woman along Round Grove Creek in KC
Police were investigating the discovery of a woman’s body Friday along Round Grove Creek in Kansas City.
According to police, detectives were canvassing the area along the creek as part of a search for a woman believed to have been washed away by floodwaters just before 3 a.m. Tuesday near East 50th Terrace and Raytown Road.
It is unknown if the body is that of the woman washed away in floodwaters, police said.
The body was taken to the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.
The woman found Friday is described as a white female in her 30s.
