Raytown man dies in crash after suffering medical episode

A 65-year-old Raytown man died Wednesday morning after suffering a medical episode, causing him to crash his pickup at 52^nd Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard.

Police identified the victim as Randall Battagler. Officers responded to the wreck just before 10 a.m. Arriving officers noticed that Battagler had suffered a medical emergency and was not breathing. They tried to resuscitate him.

Battagler was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.
