IN THE NEWS: Curiously, the Social Security system lists millions of Americans as 112 years old.

With government figures (assuming they’re right)

These hundred-and-twelvers, they stay out of sight;

’Cause I never see ’em (perhaps by design)

They gather together in clubs, of a kind;

Impatient with others who aren’t as mature —

Yes, those who are juvenile — silly — obscure.

These hundred-and-twelvers, they’ve scoffed and they’ve wondered

At immature upstarts of merely a hundred!
