Rescue teams search for man swept away in Kansas River on Sunday
Kansas City, Kan., water rescue units searched Sunday night for a fisherman who reportedly fell into the Kansas River near Interstate 435 and Holiday Drive.

Fire Chief John Paul Jones tweeted shortly before 10 p.m. that several rescue units were returning to quarters for the night and would resume the search in the morning.
KCKFD-swift water rescue boats are returning to quarters. Will resume with daylight operation.

Witnesses said the man fell into the water and was swept away.
