Semi truck rams into railroad overpass Monday at 12th and Elmwood in Kansas City

A tractor-trailer rammed into a railroad overpass Monday at 12th Street and Elmwood Avenue in Kansas City.

The incident happened about 1:45 p.m. It took two tow trucks about 90 minutes to extract the truck. Traffic had to be rerouted.

The overpass has signs warning that the clearance is 12 feet, 4 inches.

There were no reported injuries.
