Pedestrian killed on Interstate 435 at Cookingham Drive is identified

A pedestrian who was killed Friday on Interstate 435 at Cookingham Drive has been identified as 50-year-old Douglas M. Jones, whose last known address was in Texas.

Police said Jones was struck about 10:30 p.m. when he stepped off the shoulder and into the southbound lanes and was struck by a pickup truck. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene. Jones died later at a hospital.
