Name released of 83-year-old man killed in two-vehicle collision

An 83-year-old man killed Friday in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 435 just north of Tiffany Springs Parkway has been identified as Clarence Miller of Mound City, Mo.

Kansas City police responded to the incident about 4 p.m. A van and a car were southbound in parallel lanes when they collided and slid off the right shoulder.

Miller, a passenger in the van, was critically injured. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

The van driver and another passenger, as well as the driver of the car, were also taken to hospitals with injuries not considered life-threatening.
