Independence police have identified a pedestrian struck and killed by a train on Wednesday as a 20-year-old St. Joseph man.

Da'Jour J. Lucas was found fatally injured about 4 a.m. Wednesday morning on the train tracks under Missouri 291, north of East 39th Street South.

Police said their investigation into the death is still ongoing.
