Pedestrian is killed after being struck by vehicle
Kansas City police said that a 60-year-old pedestrian was killed Friday after being struck by a vehicle at Meyer Boulevard and Troost Avenue.
Officers were called to the scene just after 10:30 a.m. on a report of an injury accident involving a pedestrian. Police said a southbound car struck the pedestrian who had stepped from the curb and into traffic. The victim, a Kansas City resident, died at a nearby hospital, where he later died.
The driver stopped immediately and later spoke to investigators.
