Residents displaced after town home catches fire in south KC

Several residents of a south Kansas City apartment complex were reportedly displaced Wednesday afternoon after a fire damaged their dwelling.

According to KCTV Channel 5, six residents, including one child, were forced out of a four-plex town home at Three Fountains Apartments about 3 p.m.

The apartment is located in the 1000 block of West 101st Terrace, just west of the Indian Creek Bike Trail and east of State Line Road.

The fire started in a unit and spread to an attic, the station reported. The American Red Cross helped the displaced residents find shelter for the night.

No one was injured in the blaze.
