Lawrence police officer injured while investigating traffic crash

A Lawrence police officer was injured Tuesday morning when his patrol vehicle was hit by another vehicle at the scene of a previous wreck.

The officer was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a police press release.

The officer was working the scene of a rollover wreck at Sixth Street and Crestline Drive shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday when another vehicle struck the officer’s vehicle.
