Chance of rain in Wednesday’s forecast for Kansas City
Parts of the Kansas City area could see some light rain Wednesday.
Although rain totals aren’t expected to be much, the best chance will be along and south of Interstate 70. Up to a quarter to a half inch of rain could fall, according to the National Weather Service.
Areas north of I-70 could see less than a quarter inch of rain. The chances for rain decline the further north you go, with any rain totals likely to be minor.
As for Wednesday’s high:
KC has seen above normal temps 12 days in a row...a streak that will end today unless we reach 52° or higher
— NWS Kansas City (@NWSKansasCity) March 18, 2015
That streak appears it will end because highs are expected to reach only the lower to middle 40s. Thursday’s high could reach near 50 degrees.
A warm up is coming for the weekend, beginning Friday with highs in the middle 60s. Highs are expected to be in the 70s Saturday and 60s on Sunday.
