Demolition work on Colbern Road bridge closes part of I-470
The eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 470 between Douglas Street and Missouri 291 in Lee’s Summit will be closed until Monday morning due to demolition work on the Colbern Road bridge.
The roadway will be closed until 4 a.m. Monday for the demolition of the north half of the bridge over I-470.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, traffic on Colbern Road will be head to head on the south part of the bridge as the north part of the bridge is demolished.
Transportation officials suggest motorists find alternate routes.
