KCK police investigate death of baby boy; no signs of neglect or injury

Police in Kansas City, Kan., are investigating the death of an infant where there were no obvious signs of injury or neglect.

Officers were called Saturday morning to a home in the 600 block of Freeman Avenue about an unresponsive child, according to information provided by police. When officers arrived, the mother was holding the baby boy who is believed to be 4 months old.

Cause of death has not been determined, and police will wait for autopsy results for more information.
