KC Pet Project announces cat, dog giveaway
Due to crowding at Kansas City’s animal shelter, all adult cats and dogs more than 40 pounds are available for free adoptions this weekend.
KC Pet Project, which manages the shelter, said Thursday it was waiving fees Saturday and Sunday at all three of its locations. They include the main animal shelter at 4400 Raytown Road, as well as satellite adoption centers at the Zona Rosa shopping center in Kansas City, North, and the Petco store at 95th Street and Quivira Road in Overland Park.
All dogs or cats available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and dewormed. Temporary foster homes are also needed for many pets, KC Pet Project said. For more information go to http://www.kcpetproject.org/.
