Man’s legs crushed in accident at Shawnee car dealership

A 34-year-old man was critically injured Friday when he was crushed between two vehicles at a Shawnee car dealership.

Shawnee police said the incident occurred just before noon at Shawnee Mission Ford in the 11500 block of Shawnee Mission Parkway.

Brian Lore of Olathe was standing behind his vehicle when the driver of another vehicle drove forward, pinning the man’s legs, police said.

Both people had come to the dealership Friday to have their vehicles serviced, according to police. The other driver, a 65-year-old woman from Kansas City, Kan., was released after being questioned.

Officers are investigating.
